Growth strategy

In 2017, Marc joined Cellnex in Spain as Corporate Director of Integration, Processes & Transversal Projects.
Growth via mergers and acquisitions is a basic pillar of the Cellnex strategy. In the last 4 years, Cellnex has expanded its’ footprint to a large number of countries abroad. This growth strategy has led Cellnex to be a telecom leader in Europe.

Streamlining the incorporation of new companies and countries into the Cellnex shape, according to the company’s new Industrial Model, is of great relevance for Cellnex.

Cellnex Netherlands

Since May 2019, Marc has joined the Dutch organisation, being in charge of Shared Services, that comprises areas such as Finance and HR.

Marc tells: ‘Except from missing the Spanish sun:-), I very much like living and working in The Netherlands. The European trend to continuously invest in innovation is also very clear in The Netherlands.
Think about 5G for example, which has the potential to enable fundamentally new applications, like the autonomous car. All kind of applications that require high data-rate instantaneous communications, low latency, and massive connectivity, will be possible in the near future.

But it also drives the need for telecom operators to massively invest in adopting new technology and renew their equipment. Externalising parts of their infrastructure might be a consequence and Cellnex is a key player to support this.’
